On Track

Four years ago, we set out to create a company that would make education data accessible, understandable, and actionable to anyone, regardless of background, education level, degree of tech and data savvy — even language spoken.

It turns out that we’re on track.

With support from the New Schools Venture Fund, education research company Empirical Education recently conducted a study of the students and families who are impacted by our work. Here are the key findings:

  • 74.8% of students in schools using our reports receive free or reduced-price lunch, compared to a national average of 51.8%

  • Our impacted-students cohort is very diverse: nearly half of our students are of Hispanic origin; another quarter are African-American. Nearly 10% are also students of color, from different ethnic backgrounds.

We strive to make our data-fueled insights useful to all kinds of students — including those from highly educated and affluent backgrounds! But we are happy to know that our work is impacting the lives of students who haven’t always been served fully by our educational system.
